چکیده

Lower limb surgeries may be performed under local, regional (spinal or epidural) general anesthesia, but neuraxial blockade is the preferred mode of anesthesia. Sub-arachnoid block Spinal anaesthesia most common central used in a surgical setting, which being versatile and commonly block. With increasing use hyperbaric bupivacaine for sub arachnoid block, their limitations like prolongation onset sensory motor blockage effect, short duration action early postoperative requirement an analgesic agent, require intrathecal adjuvant to these local anaesthetic agents complete satisfactory period patient satisfaction. The aim this study was compare evaluate effect Dexmedetomidine with MgSO4 (50%) intrathecally as characteristics lower orthopedic surgery subarachnoid along (0.5%). : Participants were randomly divided into two groups 40 participants each. Group D (n=40) received Bupivacaine + dexmedetomidine, M MgSO4. Under strict aseptic antiseptic precaution performed. Mixture drugs according group assign injected. Assessment done. Inj. spinal seems superior intra-thecal it has faster onset, longer action, prolonged analgesia comparison Magnesium Sulphate without significant hemodynamic alterations. Dexmedetomidine, intra-thecally sub-arachnoid Sulphate.

BACKGROUND There are a number of adjuvants to be used for local anesthetics in spinal block. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the possible effect of intrathecal midazolam compared with bupivacaine as adjuvants in spinal anesthesia with bupivacaine in chronic opium abuses. METHODS In a double blind, randomized clinical trial, 90 opium abuser patients undergoing lower limb orthopedic su...

Effect of Two Different Doses of Dexmedetomidine as Adjuvant in Bupivacaine Induced Subarachnoid Block for Elective Abdominal Hysterectomy Operations: A Prospective, Double-blind, Randomized Controlled Study.

OBJECTIVES Improvements in perioperative pain management for lower abdominal operations has been shown to reduce morbidity, induce early ambulation, and improve patients' long-term outcomes. Dexmedetomidine, a selective alpha-2 agonist, has recently been used intrathecally as adjuvant to spinal anesthesia to prolong its efficacy. We compared two different doses of dexmedetomidine added to hyper...
